This Erasmus Plus project has the ambition to develop a sustainable approach to comprehensively counter the increasingly negative effects of post-truth, fake news and conspiracy myths. These processes have a high potential to negatively influence democratic processes and social debates. The project focuses on sensitising young people and improving society’s ability to resist disinformation.

COSTAID develops coping strategies against the spread of fake news and conspiracy myths through the targeted use of digital technologies in education, training, youth and sport. The project develops and implements new teaching and learning approaches that are more relevant to democracy. The project emphasises the principles of human rights and the fundamental role of education in developing and maintaining a culture of democracy in Europe.
