RMŽK: Regional Youth Council of Žilina

The aim of RMŽK / Regional Youth Council of Žilina is to represent children and youth’s legitimate interests and help create conditions for the development of children and youth in terms of their physical, mental, spiritual, and social well-being. Regional Youth Council of Žilina /RMŽK/, founded in 2001, serves as an umbrella organisation for 58 youth associations, student councils, local youth parliaments and non-formal groups acting in the Žilina Region whose overall membership base come up to 17 000 young people.

The activities of the RMŽK are focused on the prevention of drugs and crime and other anti-social activities (including radicalisation), to organise activities leading to active citizenship, to organise and implement educational activities for children and youth, volunteers and youth workers.
